What have I been doing?

I realized that I haven't blogged since Christmas. My goodness that is horrible. We've done so much since, I've just been neglecting blogging.

Logan, my 7yr. old son, and I, went to Florida in January for a week. We went to Orlando and did the Disney thing. We had a great time together and he was so much fun to spend some alone time with. He just ate it up! I can't wait for the next time I can take him along on one of my many expeditions. He is at such a great age and so fun!

My youngest Son Riley, also turned 6 in February. That was a little sad for me. He still seems so little. It's hard to believe he's going to be entering first grade next Fall. I do love where our lives are taking us now that the kids are getting older, but it's a little hard to say goodbye to days of babies and toddlers. NOT, that I'm thinking of having any more kids, but it's just the finality of it all that is a bit sad. I'm just hoping the boys will keep snuggling with me, and let me kiss and hug them a while longer. Logan has already made it clear that he cannot be kissed in front of his 2nd grade class any longer. LOL, that still makes me laugh when I think about the day he told me that I was embarrassing him. Riley still lets me hold his hand all the way down the hall, and he wants a kiss and hug before I leave. Logan walks about 3 steps in front of us and gives me a high-five. He still whispers "Bye Mom, I love you".

I am getting nearly booked for Weddings in 2009. If your interested in my availability, either call or email me asap!

Have a great day!

Merry Christmas!

I can't honestly believe it's Christmas Eve tomorrow. That is so crazy to me.

I have been shopping right up until tonight. I still have to go out tonight for a couple gifts I forgot to pick up earlier today. I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I am a little "Sick" of shopping.

Yesterday my best friend from Elementary School was in town from Texas, so we braved the Mall of America and shopped ALL day. It was awesome, however, I bought nothing on my list. I did find some kick-ass shoes and boots (for myself). The sales were incredible.

I am going to be unavailable from the 24th through the 29th. Please leave me an email or voicemail, and I will get back to you on Monday as soon as I can.

Have a great Christmas and Holiday Season!

Christmas Shopping

Oh my goodness, I can't believe Christmas is almost here. It's just crazy. I've only begun to shop and we are having Christmas with my family on Saturday. Ahh!!!!!!!!!! Christmas Eve is one week from today.
We (Todd, I, and the boys) celebrate our Christmas on Christmas Day. Santa still visits in the morning, so the boys will be up early, as usual.

Today I am going to try and get some shopping accomplished. Please wish me luck!

Oh, I am going to Florida on January 5th through the 9th. I will be returning phone calls and emails on January 12th.

Hope you have a great day!

My New BMW

So here's my new car.
I've been trying to decide what to do for a few weeks. Keep our big Yukon or get something smaller and more compact, with better gas mileage.
I couldn't decide if I really wanted to give up the security of 4-wheel drive and get a car, or just get a smaller SUV, with a little better mileage.

It's a BMW X3. It is AWD, I've not had that before, so I thought it might be fun to give it a try. Oh, and the power in this car is awesome. For me, that may be a negative aspect, as my right foot is VERY heavy anyway.

So far, it's exactly what I was looking for, plus a few extras. Like the heated steering wheel and panoramic sun roof. Ooh I love that! Only issue now is to figure out how to open and lock the doors.
Yesterday the kids and I went to a movie and Todd had to come out to the theatre because I couldn't figure out how to unlock the drivers' door. Yeah, and it's not because I'm blonde either.
For real, the car has way to many gadgets and buttons, and depending on what you do with them, there are different outcomes. Seriously, it wasn't my fault.

Hope you had a great weekend!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Day! We went to my parents' house in Inver Grove and had a great time eating, looking at the Ad's for today's sales, and chatting with family! I had to work at AVMC in the Evening, so my holiday was cut a little short, but that was okay also. I love my job there also.

Hope you all had a great holiday and continue to have a great weekend.

Kristin and Brian

Last week I had the pleasure of shooting Kristin and Brian's Engagement Session.

They are incredibly cute together, and insanely in love. Brian is in the Military and is home on Leave from Texas. I love Military guys! I have so much respect for them all. What an amazing sacrifice to make. To leave your fiance, family, and friends to serve this Country. Brian, I truely respect and admire you and all you do.

However, we picked the coldest day so far this year to shoot their Session. It was ridiculously cold. We were completely frozen, even my cameras were freaking out.

We were going to shoot at Big Woods State Park, in Nerstrand, MN., but the conditions weren't the best, so we drove back into Northfield. I wanted to take them some place special. I've been saving this location for the right time, and I decided that they would be perfect.

Thanks Kristin and Brian for driving up for your Session. I know it was cold, but the pictures are great, and I had alot of fun getting to know the both of you better.

Happy Saturday!

Hi everyone!
Gosh, have I really no blogged since Halloween? Man, that went by fast.
October has once again been my busiest month this year. I had a really busy month with Weddings, Senior Pictures, Family Sessions, Engagements Sessions, and a couple trips.
WOW, that was a crazy month.
As November has slowed way down, I have had some time to get things caught up. I am looking forward to the Winter slow down, and having a chance to catch my breath. I am so greatful for all my loyal and amazing clients, after all, with out you, I wouldn't be where I am today!
So, thank you for your patience, and your business. I truly appreciate each and every one of you!

This Winter I am planning a few trips, some with kids, some without.

If you or anyone you know is interested in a Destination Wedding this Winter or Spring, please call me for details. I am always up for a vacation, and combined with a little photography, what could be better?
I really want to shoot in Hawaii again this Winter, so if it is something you are interested in I'd love to hear from you.
I'd really love to book back to back weddings on location, so I could stay longer and offer a really great deal to my couples.
I'm offering some really great incentives this Winter for Destination Weddings, in general, but if you have something unique, adventurous, or crazy, that's better yet! Let's talk details!

Have a really great weekend, y'all! Peace!
